Terms of Use

1. Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Disktance on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app or its content, or use it to build a competing product.

If you downloaded Disktance from Apple's App Store, these terms sit alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). Where they conflict, the one more protective of you applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded Disktance from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your purchase.

2. Subscription and billing

• Disktance is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription at $0.99 per month (US price; the price in your country is shown in the app before you buy). It unlocks both modes. There is no free trial.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically every month at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves. See Support for how to ask.
• If we ever change the price, you will be told in advance, as Apple and Google require, and can cancel before it applies.

3. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google and are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Disktance. You can delete your account in the app under Settings.

4. GPS distances are estimates

Measure Your Distance uses your phone's GPS. GPS is never perfectly precise: in open ground, expect distances to be off by roughly ±10 to 15 feet, and more under trees, near buildings or with a weak signal. Distances are estimates for fun and practice, not certified measurements, and must not be relied on for official competition, records or wagers. Watch where you are going while you walk, respect course rules and other players, and never use the app somewhere unsafe.

5. The daily game and the leaderboards

Internet Distance gives everyone the same hole, disc and wind each day. Scores are calculated by our servers, and the server's number is the official one. We may correct, remove or refuse any score that results from a bug, an exploit or a modified app, and we may reset leaderboards when needed.

Usernames and conduct

Your username is public. You agree not to:

• choose a username that is offensive, hateful, sexual, harassing, or that impersonates another person, a brand or Disktance staff;
• cheat, including by modifying the app, automating throws, exploiting bugs or tampering with network traffic;
• use more than one account to get extra throws or leaderboard places;
• interfere with the app, its servers or other players.

We may rename, hide or remove any username, remove scores, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. Found an exploit? Tell us at support@axiomtrinitylabs.com instead.

6. The roasts

Roasts are playful comments written by AI (Google Gemini) or taken from prewritten lines. They are about your throw, not about you, and they are meant as jokes. AI output can occasionally be wrong or miss the mark; if one ever feels out of line, email us.

7. Our content

The app, the game, its holes, art, characters, music, code and the Disktance name belong to Axiom Trinity Labs, LLC or our licensors. The holes are original works inspired by famous disc golf holes; the discs use made-up names. Disktance is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any disc golf course, disc manufacturer or video game company.

8. Disclaimers

Disktance is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of distances. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Disc golf is a physical activity: play within your limits.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Axiom Trinity Labs, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Disktance. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Disktance in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using Disktance at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability) survive the end of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. If the changes are material, we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Disktance after an update means you accept it. Questions: support@axiomtrinitylabs.com.
